After 2 months of continuous rivalries, the IPL 2024 Final will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 26 May 2024. 10 Teams started their campaign on 22 March 2024 to fight for the Title but couldn’t stand against KKR and SRH. Pat Cummins captained Sunrisres Hyderabad and defeated Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals by 36 in Qualifier 2 to make it into the IPL 2024 Finals. KKR defeated SRH in Qualifier 1 to become the first one to reach the Finals. Dhruv Jurel was the lone warrior for RR. He scored 56 of 35 balls not out with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Shahbaz Ahmed was declared as Man of the Match for taking 3 wickets and important 18 runs in death overs.
Abhishek Sharma said, “Pat Cummins used all the spinner really well. He understood the pitch”. Pat Cummins gave credit to Daniel Vettori for bringing in Shahbaz Ahmed as an impact player. Suresh Raina said, “You know who is training Abhishek Sharma? Yuvraj Singh. The hero of the 2011 World Cup. Yuvi gave a rising star to India“.

Is KKR dominating the IPL 2024 Final?
Despite losing to KKR in Qualifier 1 in Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, SRH defeated RR comfortably in Qualifier 2. Both teams have played exceptionally well throughout the Tournament. SRH made some hard-to-break records. 3 times they crossed the 250+ runs mark. They made a record 287 runs highest in any T20 game. They chased down 165-run target without losing a wicket in less than 10 overs.
Dangerous Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head
Abhishek Sharma has performed throughout the Tournament. In Qualifier 2 he took 2 crucial wickets of RR captain Sanju Samson and dangerous Shimron Hetmyer. He has maintained a 200+ strike rate even after scoring 400+ runs in 15 matches. He has hit 42 sixes till now which are more than 4s. Abhishek’s opening partner Australian batsman Travis Head’s season has also gone tremendous. He has scored 567 runs in just 14 games with an average of 43.62. These 2 are going to be very dangerous for KKR in IPL 2024 Final.
IPL 2024 Final in Chepauk benefitting both the teams
KKR has dominated SRH till now in the Tournament. In 3rd match of the season, KKR defeated SRH by 4 runs. In Qualifier SRH scored 159 in 19.3 overs, which KKR chased down in the 14th over with a loss of just 2 wickets. Both teams have quality spinners. Shahbaz Ahmed came in as an impact player and took an important 3 wickets turning game for SRH in Qualifier 2. Abhishek didn’t do much with the bat and finished his task while bowling. KKR spinners Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy have taken 36 wickets jointly this season. While Varun is also in the race for Purple Cap. He has taken 20 wickets meanwhile Harshal Patel is topping the list with 24 wickets.

Who will win the IPL 2024 Final?
It is very difficult to predict the winner as both teams are deserving. Players have put effort into coming into the finals. It will be a nail-biting match between Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins. Both the Highest bid players are in finals proving their worth. At the start of the season, Starc didn’t look in touch but as the Tournament progressed he took remand of opponents. All the players are in form for the teams. Eyes will be on the spinners. Chepauk will help spinners or Dew will change the game?
